Letter from the President
Welcome Friends of the Philomatheon Society of the Blind,
My name is David Miller. I am the current President of the Philomatheon Society of the Blind and would like to introduce you to the Society.
We are an organization of blind people, along with family and friends, whose mission and goal is to help the blind and sightless of the community help themselves remain independent and a viable member of society. This is accomplished by way of social interaction with the members of the Society, educational programs and activities conducted by the Society. The Society also gathers information of all kinds that can help the visually impaired of the community and their family and friends. No membership in the Society is necessary, most services are provided at no or little cost.
Please inspect our website and do not hesitate to call us if there are any questions, especially if there is a question about something that is not present on the site.
Remember, you are not alone. We are here to help, listen, or give a little push; if necessary.
